Cletwr wins 'Volunteer Group of the Year' award

Cwmni Cletwr recently received an award from the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) as 'Volunteer Group of the Year' 2016.

Three years of hard work by our team of over 50 regular volunteers has been
rewarded by receiving one of the 2016 WCVA group volunteering awards. The Welsh Government award will be welcomed as another sign of the success and effectiveness of the Cletwr project in bringing new life to the Llangynfelyn community.

On 10th June a group of staff and volunteers traveled down to Cardiff for the awards ceremony, held in the impressive surroundings of Cardiff Castle. Awards were presented in a number of categories, and it was inspiring hearing the stories of the other winners and the impact that they have on their communities.

If you would like to help the Cletwr project by volunteering, whether regularly or just when convenient, please have a look at this page and get in touch. We have all sorts of jobs that you can help with, from serving in the shop and caffi, to baking, painting, cutting the grass and changing light-bulbs.
